Meghan Busky, MS, RDN

Dietitian

Meghan Busky, MS, RDN, is the dietitian for the Center for Better Aging and currently serves as St. Bernard’s only out patient dietitian. She specializes in weight management, supporting patients with both weight gain and weight loss goals through evidence-based nutrition care. Ms. Busky earned her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and her master’s in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Alabama-Birmingham, along with certification in Obesity and Weight Management. Originally from Baltimore and raised in the Chicago suburbs, she now lives in Chicago.

Ms. Busky brings a strong background in clinical research and patient-centered counseling. During graduate school, she spent three years on a weight management research study, progressing from data entry to peer coach and behavior interventionist, where she helped achieve the study’s most successful patient outcomes in five years. She has also worked in long-term care, foodservice management, and a residential eating disorder center.

At the Center for Better Aging, Ms. Busky provides individualized nutrition education, focusing on blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight management. She collaborates with providers and pharmacists to guide patients toward sustainable lifestyle changes, emphasizing moderation, consistency, and achievable goal-setting. Her approach is empathic and individualized, with the goal of improving quality of life, strengthening patients’ relationships with food, and preventing chronic conditions.
