Under Mr. Holland leadership, the hospital has improved its Leapfrog Hospital Patient Safety rating to two consecutive “A” grades.

In 2023, the nonprofit organization Costs of Care presented Mr. Holland with the Steven Schroeder Award for Outstanding Healthcare CEO. The honor recognizes a hospital and/or health system CEO who has demonstrated courageous and ethical leadership addressing the twin issues of affordability and quality of health care in their community.

Mr. Holland is also a board member of the South Side Healthy Community Organization transformation project, a 13-member collaborative focused on better patient access to care, effective care coordination among providers and recruitment of needed clinicians.
